Kingsland Silver Fish Lake Match - 19 April 2009. Directions

From Peterborough:

Take the A605 out of Stanground and head towards Whittlesey. Stay on the A605 and go through Whittlesy, Eastrea & Coates. When you begin to leave Coates, look out for a turning on the right on the left hand bend. Take this right into March Road. Kingsland Farm and the fishery in about 400 yards down March Road on the left hand side.

From March:

Leave the A141 onto the west bound A605 after crossing the Twenty Foot Drain. After about 4 miles turn left into March Road. Kingsland Farm and the fishery in about 400 yards down March Road on the left hand side. If you go into Coates village you have gone too far.

Winner Takes All

Just a reminder we will be running the 'winner takes all' at each match this season. It is entirely optional and if you fancy your chances, stick your quid in. The top placed angler who enteres will take the money at the end of the match. This is seperate from the main pool and golden peg.

Golden Peg

The £10 'new member entry fee' has been scrapped due to the low funds in the pot. This will be reviewed at subsequent meetings as the golden peg fund increases.

Remember The Golden peg is only 50p and we encourage all to participate as it makes running the pool easier for "El Presedente"

2009 Subscriptions & peg fee options

Annual subs remain at £20 or £10 for concessions.

There are 2 options for paying for your peg fees:

Option 1 - Paying 'up-front':

10 Matches @ £6 + £3 for Fur & Feather = £63. You will then only have to pay £5 at each match (£4 for the pools and £1 to the club).

Option 2 - Pay on the day:

Pay £12 at each match you fish (£4 pools, £2 to the club and the balance to pay the peg fee)

If you plan to fish 10 or all 11 of the matches it is more economical to pay up front; saving £2 and £14 respectivley. If you pay up front it not only aids the clubs cash flow it also guarantees you a peg at each match.

Once you decide what do to please send your cheque, payable to 'Grebe AC', to the treasurer at the address below. DO NOT SEND CASH. If you want to pay by cash either stick your name on an envelope and post it through Steve's door or square up with him at the first match.

The Grebe AC Blog

This blog has been set up to give us an online presence. The good thing about a blog is it is easy to up date and will allow regular entries of commentary, details of upcomming events, match results and reports to be uploaded.

Watch this space for:

Match dates and results (hopefully including photos)
Match Reports
Meeting dates
League table updates
Topical updates

By all means if there is anything you would like to see on here contact me using the details on the right and I will be pleased to add to our blog.

I will do my best to keep this up to date but to be up to date it requires content.... that's where you come in!
