This blog has been set up to give us an online presence. The good thing about a blog is it is easy to up date and will allow regular entries of commentary, details of upcomming events, match results and reports to be uploaded.
Watch this space for:
Match dates and results (hopefully including photos)
Match Reports
Meeting dates
League table updates
Topical updates
By all means if there is anything you would like to see on here contact me using the details on the right and I will be pleased to add to our blog.
I will do my best to keep this up to date but to be up to date it requires content.... that's where you come in!

ReplyDeleteRight then. Not fished since last October'ish time so if anyone would like to help me with a little bit of info on the venue that would be nice. Don't worry, I'm not gonna nick any 'Coin' off ya, just could do wiyh a nice day. Gonna try and get up there Friday if any others are about planning on 'Not practising but just fishing the same venue' day out. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHello mate
ReplyDeleteFor the chub you will need a waggler fishing about 4 to 5 rod lengths out, feed caster from the of and give it a go after a couple of hours.
Main line around 10m maybe closer depends on the amount of water in the lake. Fish deep depth with worm and/or pellet, feed little and often depending how they are responding. Main species tench, skimmers and crucians.
You can have another couple of lines to the edge of the reeds either side of your peg for later in the match.
Fish .012 direct, size 16 or 18 hooks rigs 4 x 14 or 4 x 16 for the main line. I would take some heavier rigs just in case the wind is blowing. Hope that helps
Nice one mate. Gonna try and get at least one day on it before the match. Got to get the head on, Wayne has bet me £50 that he will finish higher in the league. Muppet!!
